They Both Die In The End by Adam Silvera

This book was an absolutely beautiful story. The writing was great, and though the story was heartbreaking, it was enjoyable to watch the characters grow and learn from each other. It was a queer story that didn't rely on coming-out or pander to any trope, but focused on the connection and tragedy inherent to the plot. The characters had depth, and the web of influence throughout the story came together seamlessly. I would highly recommend this to anyone, though I would recommend they prepare themselves for an emotional read.
